COVID-19 Information
COVID-19 and the racial equity movement have increased the urgency for social mission in health professions education – to address diversity, equity, and inclusion in education, to produce graduates to care for our highest-need communities, and to train future health equity and social justice leaders.
While the in-person conference has been a critical part of advancing the social mission, we also recognize the realities of COVID-19 are making a large, in-person meeting in the Spring inconsistent with our public and community health priorities.
The Beyond Flexner Alliance, A.T. Still University, and the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University are very pleased to announce that we will be moving the April 2021 conference to a virtual platform and we will continue to partner and co-host the next 2022 Beyond Flexner Conference in-person in Phoenix, AZ.
Thank you for all that you do to advance the social mission. It’s clear our work is important, and we look forward to seeing you online in 2021 and in-person in 2022.
